3 CD set, 1944-45. Quoting Dan Morgenstern, excellence of (Shaws) 1944-45 band has been unfairly over shadowed by some of the other editions The presence of the great Roy Eldridge, great arrangements by Eddie Sauter, Buster Harding, underated George Siravo, Victor's engineers were the best of the 78 era. The band had great dynamics it could play softly and subtly and it could shout, how bout "Little Jazz?".
Accentuate Positive, Lady Day, Take the Long Way Home, Jumpin' on the Merry go Round, Never be the Same, Can't Help Lovin' That Man, S' Wonderful, Bedford Dr, Grabtown Grapple, Sad Sack, September Song, Little Jazz, But Not For Me, Summertime(2),Easy to Love, Time on My Hands, Tabu, Foggy Day, Foolish Things, Lucky Nr. You Go to My Head, Man I Love, Could Write a Book, Thrill of a Lifetime, Kasbah, Lament, Love Walked In, Keepin' Myself for You, Natch, That's for Me, Our Love is Here to Stay, The Glider, The Hornet, Mysteriouse +.
